  • Para-Pak C&S is a modification of Cary-Blair, which utilizes an isotonic non-nutritive, buffered solution to ensure survival of bacterial pathogens and prevent overgrowth by commensal organisms
  • A pH indicator is incorporated to indicate acidic conditions in the tube which are not optimal for recovery of the organisms in question
