CYFRA 21-1 is a tumor marker that measures fragments of cytokeratin 19, primarily used in the diagnosis and management of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), especially the squamous cell subtype. Elevated levels of CYFRA 21-1 in serum have been associated with advanced disease stages and may indicate a poorer prognosis.
